Turtle Hatchling Rescue Underway In Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) - Pompano Beach Fire Rescue officials rushed to save several baby turtles stuck in a storm drain Friday morning.

Fire Rescue officials tell CBS4's Kara Kostanich that witnesses saw baby turtles, thought to have recently hatched, heading away from the ocean and toward the drain on the 500 block of North Ocean Blvd.

Officials are pulling up drain grates to see now many turtles were stuck.
