Pedestrian Death Snarls Tri-Rail Trains

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Commuters who rely on Tri-Rail may want to make alternate plans.

The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority said Tri-Rail passengers can expect significant delays in the morning hours due to a police investigation south of the Boca Raton station. Early Thursday a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at 900 NW 40th Street.

Buses are being used to transport passengers from the Boca Raton station to the Deerfield Beach station.

Passengers with questions or looking for an update as to when full service will resume can call Tri-Rail Customer Service at 1-800-TRI-RAIL (874-7245).
