CBS4 Launches Weekend Morning Newscast

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- CBS4 expands its commitment to weekend news by introducing a new weekend morning newscast on Saturday, July 7, 2012.

With the addition of two hour-long early newscasts, on Saturday at 6:00 a.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m., CBS4 can now offer viewers morning news programs seven days a week.

Both broadcasts will be anchored by Marybel Rodriguez, who previously anchored CBS4's weekday morning and noon newscasts. CBS4 Meteorologist Craig Setzer will report weather.

"The expansion of our news coverage reflects not only our commitment to covering South Florida, but also the fact that this area is one of the most dynamic news markets in the nation," said CBS4 News Director Liz Roldan. "Taken in tandem with our Saturday and Sunday evening newscasts, this move will allow us to provide seamless and consistent coverage every day of the week, including weekends."

WFOR-TV/CBS4 and WBFS/myTV33 are part of CBS Television Stations, a division of CBS Corporation.
