BSO: Elderly Couple Dead In Tamarac Murder-Suicide

TAMARAC (CBSMiami) – Two elderly people are dead in an apparent murder suicide in Tamarac, according to the Broward Sheriff’s office.

BSO received a call around 5:45 a.m. from the caretaker of an elderly couple who said they heard shots fired at the home in the 7800 block of Exeter Boulevard East.

The Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded to the house. After a thorough search and safety check, the elderly couple was found dead inside the home.

According to BSO, an 85-year-old man shot and killed an 83-year-old woman before he turned the gun on himself.

It’s unclear if they were married, said BSO.
