MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Cutler Bay has posted a “Help Wanted” sign.
In a special meeting Monday night, the Town Council voted 3 to 2 to terminate Town Manager Steven J. Alexander.
The vote came after a discussion on Alexander’s performance and concerns that residents have raised at council meetings.
“I think he did a good job while he was here,” said Mayor Ed MacDougall, “But there were things that were troubling to the people that needed to be addressed.”
Alexander was officially hired July 29, 2006 to be the Town Manger. However, he had served as interim Town Manager for Cutler Bay since March 2006. He will leave with nine months pay.
