Fins Sign Rookie DT Kheeston Randall

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins continued to slowly sign their 2012 NFL Draft picks Monday when the team announced the signing of seventh-round pick Kheeston Randall.

The former Texas Longhorns defensive tackle was taken with the 215th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. While seventh round picks are often longshots to make the team, Randall could sneak into the roster.

Randall played in a 4-3 defensive front with the Longhorns, which is what the Dolphins are transitioning to this year. The Fins currently only have four defensive tackles listed on the active roster, including Randall.

But, players like Jared Odrick and Randy Starks who are listed as defensive ends could easily shift inside to defensive tackle if the situation warrants.

The Fins signed sixth round draft pick wide receiver B.J. Cunningham to a contract last week.
