PALMETTO BAY (CBSMiami) — The Miami-Dade Police Department is asking for help from the public in finding a man wanted for burglarizing a Palmetto Bay home and he was captured on surveillance video.

Instead of the usually black and white grainy video provided by most surveillance video cameras, this one captured the suspect in color video.

It shows the suspect pulling into the driveway of the home located at 6750 SW 141st Street on April 14th.

The guy was driving a white BMW X5 SUV. He’s wearing a bright purple shirt and can be seen in the video getting out of the BMW and walking to the front door.

Police say the suspect smashed the rear master bedroom door and stole $50-thousand worth of jewelry.

If you recognize the suspect, please call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477) or (866) 471-8477 or visit http://www.crimestoppersmiami.com and select “Give a Tip”. You can also send a text message to 274637. Enter CSMD followed by the tip information and press send.
