Wanted: Police Impersonator Targeting The Elderly

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The Miami Police Department is asking for help from the public locating a violent police impersonator who has also abducted one of his seven victims.

According to Miami Police investigators, the suspect approached his victims, all of them elderly in their 70 to 80s, and identified himself as a police officer.

In all seven cases, the man was wearing a black shirt with the word "Police."

The first robbery took place on March 3rd, and the most recent on March 29th.

He has demanded cash, jewelry, cell phones, and identification from his victims and become violent with a couple of them when he either punched them or pushed them to the ground. In one case, he kidnapped his victim at gunpoint and released him shortly after.

The suspect is described as a white, Latin male, 25-35 years-old, 5'10-5'11, 190-200 lbs., short hair, and tattoos on both arms. The suspect is possibly driving a black, Ford Taurus, four-door, with tinted windows. This suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
