Court Worker Arrested For Allegedly Stealing County Money
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Broward County Clerk of Courts employee was arrested Friday over an alleged organized scheme to defraud the clerk's office.
Angela Sheffield-Reed, 44, had worked for the Clerk of Courts office and worked in the family and civil division. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, she failed to credit the clerk's account with money that should have been received for filing fees.
