Yeremiah Bell Won't Return To Fins

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins have had a revolving door at safety the past few years. But don't expect Yeremiah Bell to come back through the door to join the Fins again.

Bell's agent, Drew Rosenhaus said Sunday night that Bell will not rejoin the Dolphins after being released last month, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Bell was released after being told he wouldn't be and after most teams had filled the safety position with free agents.

It left a bad impression on Bell and on many other players in the rest of the National Football League.

Rosenhaus said Bell is drawing interest from teams including the New York Giants, New England Patriots, and Philadelphia Eagles. He led the Dolphins in tackles for the past four years, which doesn't say a lot for the linebackers and linemen in front of him.

Bell was starting to lose a step as early as last season. He was a big problem in pass coverage. ProFootballFocus.com ranked him 74th out of 87 safeties in pass coverage while giving up a 105.5 passer rating when the ball was thrown his way, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
