Rubio: Romney Will Win White House Without Me
PALM BEACH GARDENS (CBSMiami/AP) – One week after giving his endorsement to Republican GOP hopeful Mitt Romney, Florida Senator Marco Rubio said the former Massachusetts governor will win the race for the White House, but not with him on the ticket.
During an appearance in Palm Beach Gardens, Rubio was asked about his prospects.
"I'm not going to be the vice president," said Rubio.
The tea party favorite also was asked about a suggestion by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush that Rubio is the clear choice to be Romney's running mate. Rubio responded by returning the favor and saying he thinks the former governor would be a great vice president.
