Deputies Bust Suspected Peeping Tom In Tamarac

TAMARAC (CBSMiami) – A man accused of spying on three young girls as they changed their clothes has been locked up in Broward's main jail.

Last Friday the owner of a home in the 9600 block of NW 80th Court spotted the face of 26-year old Michael Johnston pressed up against a bedroom window watching the owner's daughter and two other girls as they undressed, according to the arrest affidavit.

The homeowner then ran out into the backyard area and reportedly confronted the 'Peeping Tom'.

According to the report, Johnston punched the homeowner in the neck and left the backyard. The homeowner followed Johnston while calling the police on his cell phone.

As Johnston got close to his home, he and the homeowner scuffled again.

When deputies arrived, Johnston was taken into custody and charged with three counts of voyeurism, one count of battery and one count of burglary with assault.
