MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – Students at a Miramar middle school have been allowed back inside after bombing sniffing dogs checked it out for any explosives.

Broward Schools spokeswoman Nadine Drew confirmed that they received a threat concerning Perry Middle School, located in the 3400 block of SW 69th Avenue, and that the students and staff were evacuated as a precaution.

Tania Rues, with Miramar Police, said the department sent K9’s who can detect explosive materials to the school to investigate.

After going over the building, the dogs didn’t detect anything and the students were allowed to return to the school just before 12:30 p.m.
