MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) – With 21 grand slam titles under her belt, including 3 Olympic gold medals, Venus Williams is a titan on the tennis court. But this 32 year old superstar athlete isn’t all aces and volleys; she has a keen eye for design.

“I went to school locally, at the Art institute of Fort Lauderdale and studied fashion design. It was always something I wanted to do,” said Venus.

At The Bath Club on Miami Beach a special tennis inspired party was held to showcase Venus’ new collection, an athletic line called Eleven. The capsule collection of fashions was designed for on and off the court.

“You and your sister were always known for going for the twist, never strictly white, not even at Wimbledon, is that what this is about? Shaking things up? Asked CBS4’s Lisa Petrillo.

“That’s right. That was most important thing for me to be true to myself as a person and as a designer and create a line that everyone can relate to,” said Venus

Venus named the line Eleven, because it’s better than a ten, there are no limits to anything she takes on.

“Growing up our parents always told the word “Can’t” doesn’t exist,” she said. “We were always told we could do anything, so that really kept with us.”
