'Jersey Shore' To Start Filming On 6th Season

LOS ANGELES (AP) — MTV says it's bringing "Jersey Shore" back for a sixth season, with expectant mom Snooki as part of the action.

MTV said Monday that production will begin this summer in Seaside Heights, N.J., and all of "America's favorite housemates" will return.

That includes Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who's engaged and expecting her first child.

MTV declined to offer specifics on how big a part Snooki will play in the show about hard-partying Italian-American friends.

Polizzi and Jenni "J-Woww" Farley are filming a "Jersey Shore" spinoff. Another show spinoff, "The Pauly D Project," debuts March 29.

"Jersey Shore: The Reunion" airs at 10 p.m. EDT Thursday, and MTV promises the drama of the past season "comes to a head" during the get-together.
