Former President Bill Clinton In S. Fla. Tuesday

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Former President Bill Clinton is paying a visit to South Florida.

The 42nd President of the United States is scheduled to speak Tuesday night at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.

Mr. Clinton will share his views on American values and global interdependence in an evening entitled Embracing Our Common Humanity.

President Clinton's public speeches describe the challenge of globalization, emphasize our growing interdependence, and point the way toward a common future based on shared goals and values.

The Clinton Global Initiative has brought together thousands of world leaders, top business executives, Nobel Peace Prize laureates, and innovative thinkers to take action to solve some of the world's most pressing problems. To date, CGI members have made nearly 2,000 commitments, which have already improved the lives of nearly 300 million people in more than 170 countries.

Clinton is in Florida on a three day speaking tour that wraps up in Tampa Wednesday.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
