Up In Flames: Car Fire Slows Commute On 826
MEDLEY (CBSMiami) – It was a hot mess on the 826 Expressway in Medley Friday morning when a vehicle caught on fire on the side of the road during rush hour traffic.
Chopper 4 flew over the scene just moments before firefighters arrived. Video from the helicopter shows the front of vehicle fully engulfed in flames and thick smoke billowing from the engine compartment and the inside of the car.
It happened in the northbound lanes of 826 between NW 74th Street and Okeechobee Road.
Once firefighters arrived, the fire was quickly put out.
The car was not occupied. There are no reports of any injuries.
