Road Rage Incident Caught On Camera In Lighthouse Point

LIGHTHOUSE POINT (CBSMiami) – A South Florida woman is facing an aggravated battery charge after being accused of road rage outside of a Lighthouse Point Publix supermarket and the entire incident was caught on camera.

According to police, it all started as an argument between a woman, Tina Brown, and a man on a scooter as she walked through the parking lot on Monday, Feb. 27th.

"They started having words in the parking lot she felt that he drove too close to her," said Lighthouse Point Police Cmdr. Mike Oh.

After the verbal altercation, police said Brown got so angry that she jumped in her SUV and followed him to the front of the supermarket.

In surveillance video which shows the outside of the store, the man can be seen sitting parked on his scooter. Suddenly, the video shows Brown pushing the scooter backwards with her SUV.

"While he was waiting for his wife, the suspect got into her vehicle drove around the parking lot to confront him and actually struck the front of his scooter at that point and started pushing him backwards," said Cmdr. Oh. "The victim told us at that point he was fearful he was going to be injured or seriously hurt."

After the incident, the man drove off on the scooter but police said at that point, the man feared for his life.

The man complained of back pain and was treated at a local hospital and released.

Brown was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (the SUV).

She appeared in bond Tuesday where the judge released her on her own recognizance.
