Maxima Used As Ram To Break Into AT&T Store

NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Several heavy-handed burglars used a Nissan Maxima as a battering ram to break into a North Miami electronics store early Thursday morning.

Police spokesman Commander Neil Cuevas said around 5:30 a.m. the Maxima smashed through the glass front doors of the AT&T store at 12599 Biscayne Boulevard. Then five males proceeded to loot the store, throwing the stolen electronics into the Maxima and what was described as a gold Honda.

An alert issued for the vehicles says the Maxima will have extensive damage to its rear.

Police have not issued a description of the burglars or given a list of what items were taken.
