NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police homicide investigators are trying to unravel a double murder in Northwest Miami-Dade.

According to police, Dorian Jones, 38, and Stephen Smith, 24, were shot and killed near Northwest 146th Street and 7th Avenue on Monday night. The victims were shot and killed in a white Grand Marquis. Police said 44 rounds were fired in all but there were no witnesses, at least none that have come forward yet.

Investigators believe there was a lone gunman because a man was seen running away from the shooting headed south on NW 7th Avenue from 146th Street.

Homicide detectives say they have no motive for the crime.

“Motive Unclear”??? I see very clear motive. “Police have not released a motive for the murders – - -” ?? How can the police know? They are dead. If any, anything police can come up with is by guessing, using any witness’s words of mouth. These kind of events happens very often here. One of these days, our media will improve on there reporting. I think we have the lowest quality journalism here in the country.

This writing seems clear to me. When a story firsts breaks, all the details are not known.

As you accurately state, these things happen every day here. Murder, simply put, is an option for many in this city. Families are not that surprised when they learn of a death. They know their kids are involved with drugs, etc.

Will improve on “THEIR” reporting. Low quality journalism? How about low quality education such as correct spelling? Dont criticize others if you cant spell.

Just another Scandinavian killing his own race. Keep up the good work!!!

Their criminal records say it all.
