6-Hour SWAT Standoff Ends With 1 Arrest In Pompano Beach
POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – A South Florida man was arrested early Saturday morning after being involved in a six-hour police standoff in Pompano Beach.
According to witnesses on the scene, there was a fight between several men at a home in the 3100 block of NE 14th Avenue when one of the men pulled out a gun and barricaded himself inside the house.
A SWAT team was called to the scene. After six-hours, the SWAT team was able to remove the man from the house without anyone getting hurt.
The man was taken into police custody.
No word yet on what charges will be filed.
