Gunman Arrested In Miami Teen Shooting

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami police have made an arrest in the shooting of a South Florida teenager who was struck down while walking home from school in Liberty City.

Police announced the arrest of 18-year-old Terry Darling on Friday. He's been charged with first degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault.

According to the arrest affidavit, Brandon Allen, 17, was walking home from Northwestern Senior High school in the area of NW 10th Avenue and 64th Street with a group of friends on Thursday afternoon.

The report states they saw a green 4-door Nissan Maxima drive by, make a U-turn then stop at the intersection. Suddenly, the driver leaned out of his window and fired six shots across the roof of his car at the group of teens.

Allen was struck on the left side of his neck. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he remains in serious condition after undergoing surgery Thursday night.

Nobody else was hurt in the shooting.

Police have not released a motive.
