"Real Housewives Of Miami" Returning To Bravo
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Bravo has renewed "The Real Housewives of Miami" for a second season despite its low ratings. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network plans to give the show a makeover before bringing it back to TV and do a little recasting as well.
The new production company will be Purveyors of Pop, which is behind Bravo's successful Atlanta, New Jersey and New York installments of the franchise in addition to Bethenny Ever After. Sources told the Hollywood Reporter the network was dissatisfied with the original production company, McFilmworks.
The network will officially announce the renewal and returning cast members very soon, but will hold out on naming new additions at this point.
While Bravo may not announce additional cast members, CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald has allegedly learned who will be the new housewives. They include model and former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Joanna Krupa as well as Lisa Hochstein, the wife of plastic surgeon Lenny of the short-lived Bravo version of Nip/Tuck called Miami Slice.
