Miami Man Wanted For Murdering Woman In Front Of Kids Arrested

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Miami man who reportedly shot and killed the mother of their children in front of them during an argument has been taken into custody.

Police said Bertram Clark, 42, was arrested in the area of NW 14th Place and 212th Street after they received a tip from the public.

The shooting took place Feb. 6th, just after midnight, in the 1200 block of NW First place in Miami.

According to investigators Clark and 25-year-old Shanquendra Quenishea Williams had argued and he stormed out of her apartment. When he was gone Williams called police. When Clark returned to Williams' apartment he allegedly got angry when he found out about the call.

Investigators say Clark apparently pulled out his gun and pistol-whipped Williams while her children watched. As his anger grew, police said he used the pistol to shoot her, multiple times, with the children in the room, before running out.

Miami police spokesman Detective William Moreno said that when officers arrived they found Williams lying dead in a pool of blood.
