Worker Rushed To Hospital With Severed Arm

NORTH LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A South Florida worker has been rushed to the hospital after severing his arm in an accident.

According to North Lauderdale Fire Rescue Fire Chief Rudy Neumann, the unidentified man severed his arm at the elbow while working on a pump station in front of the North Lauderdale Fire Station located at 7800 Hamptons Boulevard.

Chief Neumann said the man got his arm caught in the pump which caused it to be severed.

North Lauderdale Fire Rescue crews were able to retrieve the arm. The man was air rescued to Broward General Medical Center. His condition is not known.
