Report: Demi Moore Hospitalized For Substance Abuse

LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Actress Demi Moore was hospitalized late Monday in Los Angeles and TMZ reports the hospitalization was linked to substance abuse.

The website did not cite named sources, but said that the actress, who split up with husband Ashton Kutcher in November, will "seek further professional assistance" for the substance abuse.

Paramedics rushed to Moore's L.A. home around 10:45 p.m. Monday and transported her to a nearby hospital.

A spokeswoman for Moore said the actress is seeking professional help to treat her exhaustion and improve her health.

Publicist Carrie Gordon said the decision is due to the stresses in Moore's life, and she looks forward to getting well.

Gordon did not release any other details about the nature or location of Moore's treatment.

The past few months have been rocky for Moore. She released a statement in November announcing she had decided to end her marriage to Ashton Kutcher following news of alleged infidelity. The two were known to publicly share their affection for one another via Twitter.

Moore still has a Twitter account under the name mrskutcher but has not posted any messages since Jan. 7.
