FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A South Florida woman appeared in bond court Tuesday charged with having sex with a 13-year-old boy.

Carissa Rangel, 23 of Hollywood, was charged with seven counts of lewd and lascivious battery, molestation and conduct plus one count of probation violation.

The judge set bond at $25-thousand on the two battery charges but denied bond on the probation violation charge.

Rangel, who has a prior criminal record in Port St. Lucie, was arrested in Pembroke Pines on Monday after the boy’s mother caught her having sex with her 13-year-old son in his bedroom.

According to the arrest affidavit, Rangel went into the boy’s bedroom early Monday morning and told him to ‘lock the door.’

Around 1:15 a.m. the boy’s mother heard noises from the bedroom and caught them in the act.

The mom immediately kicked Rangel out of the house and called police.

It’s not known what Rangel’s relationship is to the family, however, the arrest affidavit also states Rangel told investigators she and the boy had sex two previous times while in the City of Hobe Sound.

At Tuesday’s bond hearing, the judge also ordered Rangel to have no contact with the 13-year-old.

Previous arrest records show Rangel was charged with DUI, Driving with a Suspended License and Probation Violation in Port St. Lucie in 2011.
