Miami Woman Killed, Two Others Hurt In Pompano Crash

POMPANO BEACH(CBSMiami) - A Miami woman was killed and two others were critically injured following an early morning crash on Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach.

The accident happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of W Atlantic Boulevard.

According to Broward Sheriff's investigators, 37-year old Jason Morgan was heading east on W Atlantic Boulevard in a Lexus SUV when he t-boned an Honda Accord driven by 22-year old Mary Hart of Miami.

Hart was exiting the northbound off-ramp from Interstate 95 onto Atlantic Boulevard when she was hit. Her passengers, Rudolf Georgeon, 24, of North Miami Beach, and Lori Bardol, 35, of Coral Springs, were taken to North Broward Medical Center with critical injuries. Hart was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.

Morgan was charged with one count of DUI manslaughter, two counts each of DUI with serious bodily injury and DUI causing property damage and one count of driving with a suspended license.

He is being held in the BSO Main Jail in Ft. Lauderdale.
