DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Comcast and Verizon Wireless will be just a few of the major companies looking to hire at a career fair Wednesday in Davie.
Sponsored by JobNewsFtLauderdale.com, the fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Signature Grand. Nearly 20 companies including The Check Cashing Store, American General Life Insurance and DNC Travel Hospitality Services will be there.
The local job market is rebounding according to James Nolan, General Manager of Job News.
“We’re holding our first Job Fair of the year and it looks like it will be a big one, particularly for Sales, Customer Service and Management,” said Nolan in a statement. “The opportunities are impressive. These employers are looking for both experienced and entry level staff who want to grow with them. It’s a good indicator that the future is looking brighter in 2012.”
