Miami Marlins Holding Auditions For Home Game Dancers

MIAMI (CBS4)- The Miami Marlins are looking for a few good dancers and performers.

The team is holding open auditions on Saturday for dancers, gymnasts, cheerleaders and break dancers in South Florida to join the 2012 Miami Marlins Energy Team.

The team is a high-energy squad featuring gymnastics, hip-hop, acrobatics, modern jazz, flags and break dancers.

They will perform during home games at the team's new Little Havana stadium and also represent the Marlins organization at various community events throughout the year.

Be sure to show up with a headshot, resume and wear dance attire and shoes. Each group will be taught a routine within their genre. Also, you must be 18 years and older to audition.

Those picked at the open audition will compete a week later at a final audition.

The event will be held at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler St.

Here's a look at the Saturday schedule for the auditions:

10 a.m. Male and female dancers

12 p.m. Co-ed cheerleaders and gymnasts

1 p.m. All brake dancers
