Temperatures Set To Tumble Again In S. Fla.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Old man winter is coming back to South Florida this weekend so get ready to grab a sweater or jacket and open those windows in the house.

It’s a mild Friday afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 70s and some clouds lingering due to a cold front moving through and a stalled frontal boundary to the South.

As the winds shift out of the north, temperatures will be tumbling Friday night.

Lows will dip down to the upper 50s near the coast and it will be even colder inland where some locations may fall to the upper 40s.

With high pressure in control and the cold air in place, Saturday’s highs will only be in the upper 60s.

Saturday night could be even chillier with lows dropping to the upper 40s inland and the low to mid 50s near the coast.

Sunday afternoon, there will be plenty of sunshine and highs will climb a bit to right around 70 degrees.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday will be cool to start with low 50s and highs will rise to the low 70s.

Temperatures begin to warm back up to near 80 degrees by the middle of next week.
