MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While the Miami Dolphins players continue to wait out the coaching carousel; Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is turning his attention to politics and his candidate of choice, Mitt Romney.

Ross and his wife Kara are hosting a $2,500 per person reception with Romney on Thursday at the Ross’ home in Palm Beach.

The presumptive GOP nominee will be in attendance at the event.

Romney is starting to turn his attention towards the Sunshine State as it could be the final hurdle for him to clear before being the GOP nominee.

The former Massachusetts governor has won the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary.

The next vote will be in South Carolina, where the most conservative candidates are hoping to make their final stand.

Romney has already bought ad time in Florida and a Super Pac that favors Romney began buying ad time in the Sunshine State this week.
