Burglars Use Car To Break Into Miami Nail Salon
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A trio of burglars used a white Nissan Maxima as a battering ram to break into a Miami nail salon.
It happened Sunday around 6:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of NE 1st Avenue. Miami police spokesman Detective William Moreno said the driver plowed through the glass store front of the Midtown's Nail Bar Beauty Lounge . Once inside, they stole an ATM machine and a computer.
"It's like a Hollywood movie," said salon owner Desiree Parth. "I would have never imagined that that would happen her in Midtown Miami."
Parth said she had recently discontinued the ATM service and there was probably only about $300 in the machine.
The three then left in what was described as either a beige or silver car.
Police have not released descriptions of the three crooks.
