Robber Fondled Woman, Stole Cash & Clothes

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami police have released a sketch of a man they say fondled a woman before making off with her cash and clothes.

The woman was returning to her Model City apartment in the 600 block of NW 56th Street from a trip to the grocery store on Dec. 18th when a man came up behind her and grabbed her by her ponytail.

He then forcibly took her to a secluded location inside the apartment complex and took off her shirt. He then tied it around her eyes as a blindfold. He then began taking off the rest of her clothes, fondling her as he did so. Throughout the ordeal, the woman begged him not to hurt her.

Police said the man got spooked when he heard someone in the area. Before running off, however, he managed to rummage through the woman's purse and steal an undisclosed amount of money along with her clothing.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit at (305) 603-6370 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
