MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Heat superstar forward LeBron James showed no signs of rust leading the Heat to a fast 5-0 start this season.

As a result, James was named the NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week by the NBA.

During the Heat’s five game winning streak which ended Monday James led the Heat in scoring with 29.6 points per game, averaged 2.4 steals per game which led the conference and averaged 6.6 assists per game, which lead the Heat.

James lit up the scoreboard for 37 points in the season-opening victory over the Dallas Mavericks and scored more than 30 points in three games.
