New Year's Eve South Florida Style
MIAMI (CBS4) – While New Years day falls on a Sunday this year, many agencies and businesses will officially observe it on Monday by being closed.
Here’s a list of what will be closed on January 2nd, 2012.

- Stock Markets
- Banks
- Postal Service: No deliveries, post offices closed, Express Mail will be delivered
- Miami-Dade and Broward County offices
- Miami-Dade and Broward Courts
- Miami-Dade public schools
- Miami-Dade and Broward libraries
- Garbage collection: Miami-Dade and Broward will have regular trash pick-ups
- Miami-Dade and Broward transit: Weekend schedule on Sunday, regular schedule on Monday
- Tri-Rail: Weekend schedule on Sunday, regular schedule on Monday
Malls and grocery stores will be open
Broward public schools will be open
