MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A former athletic director of a Miami-Dade private school who vanished last month after he was accused of unlawful sexual conduct with a 12-year-old girl is now behind bars.

Miami-Dade police confirm that 29-year old Paul Mira was arrested in Polk County and has since been brought back to the county.

Mira worked at the Archimedean Middle Conservatory- Archimedean Upper Conservatory at 12425 Southwest 72nd Street.

Mira is accused of sexually abusing the girl multiple times last October and November. Police have not said if she was a student at the school.

Mira is charged with two counts of lewd/lascivious battery on a child.
