Woman Pistol Whipped During Gables Gas Station Robbery
CORAL GABLES (CBS4) – Coral Gables police have released a surveillance video of a gas station robbery in hopes that someone recognizes the robbers and gives them a call.
The robbery occurred on December 7th, around 5:30 p.m., at the Shell gas station in the 1400 block of S Dixie Highway. On the surveillance tape, a male and female can be seen walking in front of the convenience store section shortly before the robbery.
The female, who was the first to enter the store, made a purchase.
The man then went into the store, got a soda and walked to the counter as if to pay for it. When he reached the clerk, he pulled out a gun and attempted to rob the clerk and a customer.
The customer, however, fought back and struggled with the armed man. After being repeatedly pistol whipped, the customer ran out of the store.
The armed man then stole the cash from the register and ran out of the store.
