Fla. Student Brings Loaded Gun To Elementary School
JACKSONVILLE (CBS4/AP)— Police are investigating after a Florida student brought a loaded handgun to his elementary school.
According to a spokeswoman, administrators at Dinsmore Elementary School in Jacksonville were notified by another student before classes Friday morning about the gun.
The gun was immediately confiscated. No injuries were reported.
The Florida Times Union reported that an initial investigation found that the gun was not taken to the school "to do any harm." The student will receive "appropriate disciplinary action."
Meanwhile, the school district's police department is investigating.
