BSO Looking For Suspect In Dania Beach Fatal Shooting

DANIA BEACH (CBS4)- Police are looking for a man who they said is involved in the death of a 20-year-old Hollywood man, who was shot multiple times and died of his injuries early Saturday.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for 18-year-old Eric Hunter in connection with the shooting.

Police were called to a crowded Dania Beach street party at Phippen Road and S. W. 7 Street at approximately 1:25 a.m. Saturday regarding a "disturbance." When they arrived, party-goers flagged them down to say a man as just shot in the street.

At the scene they discovered Dijon Brown. Brown was shot multiple times before he died.

According to police, there was an ongoing dispute between Brown and Hunter, who were at the street party.

Police said Hunter was last seen driving a blue 2010 Nissan Altima with Florida tag 656 YGW.

Hunter has a history of narcotics-related arrests.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
