BSO Looking For Unruly Bus Rider

OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is looking for a frustrated bus passenger who threw a small garbage can at the driver after the bus pass machine refused to take his money.

According to the sheriff's office, it happened on Tuesday, Nov 29th, around 1:45 p.m. The young man got on in the 5000 block of Oakland Park Boulevard and started to feed his dollar bills into the machine. He fed $4 into the machine, but it only accepted $3. The man then began to argue with the bus driver and threatened him.

The driver stopped the bus at 5100 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Lauderdale Lakes and asked the young man to get off. Before he went, however, he picked up a small garbage can and threw it at the driver; he wasn't hurt.

Anyone who can identify the unruly rider is urged to contact Det. Joe Kessling at (954) 321-4224.
