Miami Gardens Shooting Sends 2 To Hospital
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Gardens Police are trying to figure out what led to a shooting that sent two people, including a 15-year-old boy, to the hospital.
When the shooting happened, police immediately surrounded the Carol City Gardens apartment complex near the intersection of NE 183rd St. and NW 47th Avenue.
A witness told CBS4's Maggie Newland that some people were walking by and then started shooting.
The witness said one bullet hit the 15-year-old boy and the other hit another man.
Both victims were airlifted to the hospital by helicopter.
The condition and names of the two victims haven't been released.
The witness CBS4 spoke to said that they don't think the teen was targeted.
