MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The hot stove league has cooled off in recent days, but the Miami Marlins are still out front in expressing interest to any decent free agent with a pulse.

According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, the Marlins are set to meet with free agent starting pitcher C.J. Wilson when he makes the East Coast swing of his free agency tour.

The Herald reported that Marlins management met with Wilson’s agent last week during the general manager’s meetings in Milwaukee.

The Los Angeles Times reports that roughly 13 teams are interested in signing the southpaw. It’s expected he could command as much as $120 million over several years to acquire his services.
