Pembroke Pines Teen In Critical Condition After Hit & Run

PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – A Pembroke Pines teen was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a driver on U.S. 27.

According to police spokesman Sgt. Scott Carris, 13-year old Kyle Montes and his brother were walking on the shoulder of the highway just north of mile marker 24 Saturday night around 11p.m., when a vehicle swerved toward them and struck Kyle. The driver then sped off.

Carris did not give a description of the vehicle but did say it may have damage to the passenger side mirror.
