PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) – A Pembroke Pines teen was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a driver on U.S. 27.

According to police spokesman Sgt. Scott Carris, 13-year old Kyle Montes and his brother were walking on the shoulder of the highway just north of mile marker 24 Saturday night around 11p.m., when a vehicle swerved toward them and struck Kyle. The driver then sped off.

Carris did not give a description of the vehicle but did say it may have damage to the passenger side mirror.

    This is an amazing story. The entire City of Pembroke Pines is in “critical condition” from a hit and run accident. That person hit every person in the city and still managed to get away.
