MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you have a bag of pine nuts in your pantry, you may want to check them

Miami-based Badia Spices announced they are recalling the packaged nuts over fears they may be contaminated with salmonella.

The company said the affected nuts were sold in stores in Florida and four other states from June to October. The New Jersey firm where the nuts were purchased in bulk recalled them earlier this month after several illnesses were reported.

The items being recalled are 1-ounce packages marked with UPC code 033844-00068 and lot number 84666, and 2-ounce bottles with UPC code 033844-00733 and lot numbers 83184 and 85442. For information, contact Badia at 305-629-8000 or
