MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Some residents of a Miami condo got a wet awakening Sunday morning after a sprinkler line burst.
Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll said the line burst on the 18th floor and gushing water affected units on one side of the building, at 1861 NW South River Drive, all the way down to the 5th floor. The power was turned off while workers made repairs.
Approximately 50 units in the 27 story building were affected. Carroll said clean up crews had to deal with about half an inch of water on the 18th floor.
Thankfully, no residents had to be evacuated.
