WWE Hosting Wrestlemania On-Sale Party In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Wrestlemania XXVIII is still months away, but the WWE will be in Miami Friday night to celebrate tickets going on sale on Saturday at 10 a.m.

The WWE celebration will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Bayfront Park and is free to the public.

In addition, fans who attend the celebration will have the first chance to buy tickets to the WWE's premier event set to be held April 1, 2012 at Sun Life Stadium.

The annual Wrestlemania even has become a cash cow for the cities who win the right to host it. In 2011, Atlanta hosted Wrestlemania and the week of events leading up to the Super Bowl of wrestling.

According to the WWE, Wrestlemania generated $62.1 million in economic impact on Atlanta. The event drew a sell-out crowd of 71,617 from all 50 states and 30 countries.

In addition, the economic impact derived from Wrestlemania Week equated to the creation of 621 full-time jobs for the area.

The $62.1 million was a new record economic impact for Wrestlemania and was an increase of roughly $17 million increase over Wrestlemani XXVI.

According to the WWE, Friday's on-sale event will feature appearances by WWE superstars Rey Mysterio, Kelly Kelly, the Bella twins, Rosa, Sgt. Slaughter, and the "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart.
