MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) - It was a great day for incumbents in 4 Miami cities as voters stuck with what they knew, and returned Mayors to office in Homestead and Miami Beach. In Hialeah, an incumbent mayor won the right to a runoff with a political icon, and in Miami, two commissioners facing a host of challengers managed to hold them off and return to city hall.

In Miami Beach, voters were looking for a new mayor out of a group that included a former reality show contestant, the incumbent, and two newcomers, but in a poor turnout they decided to keep incumbent Matti Herrera Bower.

In the city of Miami, incumbents Wilfredo "Willy" Gort and Marc Sarnoff were challenged, Sarnoff by 4 people who wanted his job. In what could have easily been a runoff, Sarnoff managed to keep more than 50% of the vote and his job. Gort easily won re-election against a single opponent
