"Addams Family" Scares Up Fun Onstage At The Arsht Center

MIAMI (CBS4) - Creepy, spooky, mysterious and ooky, they've been called it all. And that's what we love about them: The Addams Family.

The new musical is now on stage at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

This morbidly fun musical features all of characters we've known for years, starting with mom and dad Morticia and Gomez Addams, whose passion for each other is so endearing.

"It's the fundamentals of the show. They're crazy about each other and the fire going between them and his intense passion for her is the thing that lights the stage and the story line" said Douglas Sills, who plays Gomez Addams.

"It's incredible to feel so adored every night I'm pretty crazy about Doug as a person as well as the actor" says Sara Gettelfinger , who plays Morticia Addams.

The storyline on this re-vamped show highlights something every parent can relate to, a daughter who is embarrassed by them.

"All parents embarrass their children, in the Addams family, Wednesday wants her family to appear normal," said Sills.

But it's tall dark and handsome Douglas Sills as Gomez who really make the women swoon.

"If your husband isn't making mad passionate love to you, there's something wrong with him!" Sills said to CBS4's Lisa Petrillo as his Gomez character.

The Addams family is on at the Adrienne Arsht Center through Sunday, Oct 30.
